Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American model, actress and model. The actress was co-star with Prince in his 1984 film Purple Rain, and the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 Her name was among the female performers who gained from Prince's association during the 1980s. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her professional career began by modeling in the late 1970s. Kotero also performed on CHiPS. She was the lead female of Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (when the singer changed her name). At the time of that year, she took over Vanity as a member of the trio Vanity 6 and performed alongside their name as Apollonia 6 in the film. Sex Shooter was a minor commercial success for the trio however she made a greater influence as Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You on the soundtrack. When the two had a disagreement with regard to the direction of her career Apollonia 6 broke up, and Kotero was able to end her partnership with Prince. She was later seen in various minor films throughout the same time (reportedly refusing to take part as a character in The Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) and then landed a role on the night-time series Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia was finally able to release her debut in 1988 but the rather tame set of r&b/dance tracks failed to make much impression on those who bought music, and soon the album vanished completely from view. She continued to be active in the acting world (even though it was somewhat under-the-radar) in the years following performing in small television roles and film appearances. A workout video also made its debut. Apollonia's album Stay With Me came out in 1997. After that, she attended university and obtained a filmmaking degree. She also formed her own production company. Apollonia is an incredibly talented woman. Formerly, she was a model, singer-actress and talent manager. The part she played as an actress in the 1984 film Purple Rain made her a star. Apart from Purple Rain, she's performed in a variety of TV and movies such as Black Magic Woman or The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model.
