Tommy Lee-1-819x1024Thomas Lee Bass is a Greek-American musician who is a founding of the heavy metal band Motley Crue. Lee is the drummer for a long time for Motley Cr e. He has also formed Methods of Mayhem, a metal rap group. He has also pursued his own musical career. Lee is a PETA supporter and a strong advocate for animal rights. In 2010 Lee wrote a letter to Terry Prather, the president of SeaWorld, protesting the treatment of Tilikum the orca. Lee believed that the animal ought to be released and stated that SeaWorld will not allow this to happen since Tilikum is their primary sperm donor. Lee expressed his displeasure over SeaWorld's inept and bizarre method of obtaining Tilikum fertilm. Lee said he wanted to prevent any further tragedies involving trainers being killed as these tragedies were caused by the whales' distaste for captiveization.
